Peter is writing a vampire novel, and he used a stake through the heart to kill the vampire. Jayne, his vampire expert assistant, tells Peter that he already used that method earlier and that there are other ways to kill vampires. Peter tells her he hired her for technical information, not to write the book. Jayne leaves, but before she does, she asks Peter to talk to his publisher about her works. He promises her that he will, first thing in the morning. Once Jayne leaves, he goes back to his writing, using her ideas to kill the vampire. |

Synopsis
A lousy horror writer allows a vampire to live with him in exchange for vampire tales which he then publishes.

Plot
A hack writer teams up with an actual vampire to write a bestseller.
Act I
